Turning Banksia Nuts

Info:

Banksia nuts come from the Bull Banksia tree, found in Western Australia. They usually grow in the shadow of the Jarrah trees, and the nuts take several years to mature.

 

Tools:

• Either Bowl gouge or Spinle gouge preferably 3/8" or 1/4"
• Roughing out gouge
• Parting tool
• 3/8" forstner bit
• Bandsaw or Saw
